In a ceremony held August 5, 2007 during the Philadelphia Buyers Market of American Craft, Mike Stutland was awarded a 2007 NICHE Top Retailer Award.
Artique won the magazine's "Top 100 Retailer Award" seven times since 1996. In 2006, NICHE redesigned the program to be more competitive and broader in scope. Now only 25 galleries nationwide are annually awarded the status of Top Retailer.
More than 18,000 professional fine craft artists throughout the U.S. and Canada nominated nearly 600 galleries, retail stores, arts nonprofits, museums and guilds for this year's NICHE Top Retailer Awards.
Criteria for nomination were based on NICHE magazine's Retailer Guide to Best Practices, which details the characteristics of craft retailers who are committed to fair business practices and to growing and strengthening the American craft community.

Artique was honored at the 2006 JCK Show in Las Vegas for lasting excellence at selling designer jewelry.
"These retailers are a special breed; they're trendsetters who recognize the artistry and value in designer created jewels. They share a passion for the artistry of jewelry making and this commitment will be celebrated at The JCK Show in the Design Center at our first annual awards ceremony," said Dave Bonaparte, Vice President, JCK Events.

"The arts inspire us, teach us and comfort us. Artistic endeavors also stimulate economic growth, create jobs and build a better workforce for tomorrow. Forty years of public support for the arts has been a good investment, creating a better Kentucky for all of us. "

Ernie Fletcher, Governor
